Pressing Pansies

ABC Wednesday is "P"
today.

I decided to press some pansies.

I was inspired by this fun meme.

It took awhile for me to find my flower presses.
They were downstairs in my basement.

It has been a long time since I have pressed any flowers.

There was a note in with the Johnny Jump Ups,
                                                                     June 25, 2006.
I am happy being back pressing flowers.

Dear Sherry.......such a pretty little flower.....and like Lisa, I think the press is beautiful.
I have two very old ones somewhere....like you I have not used them for a long time.....

Pansies are lovely flowers, especially the purples.......

What a beautiful flower press, Sherry! Oh my sister would be so envious! :) I've never tried pressing flowers, other than with books, like Cheryl, but often think it would be fun to have a 'real' press. :) Pansies, violets, irises--those are my most favorite flowers. :)

I am looking forward to see your pressed pansies!

The dried daffodils are gorgeous.
I like to keep dried flowers in glass bowls and vases. Last year's peony petals proved irresistible to some kind of moths, would you believe it?

Thats a lovely press. Pansies are such cheery flowers. My grandmother's enormous family bible I think was pressed into service, as it had various grasses scattered through the pages when I inherited it.
